A China Care representative said this about the impact of your giving, "Your
gift to these children is one of years of playing and laughing and the ability
to grow up and go to school. Because of you, their possibilities are ENDLESS.
Thank you again for the kindness and generosity you have shown these children." Please
pray with us as we correspond with China Care, New Life in Kenya, and Hope
Foster Home in China concerning which current financial needs we are able to
cover, that the process would move smoothly and quickly.
Peru ~ A Portion for Orphans team is preparing to spend the month of June
volunteering at an orphanage in Cusco, Peru. Team members include: Sally Allred,
Jessica Smith, and Kristah Goodding. This will be a great opportunity for us
to learn more about orphans in South America, to determine ways we can be of
assistance, and to help you find a way to be involved as well. Please pray
that God will go before us, that He will help us to plan and prepare well,
and that we will be able to meet some physical, financial, educational, and
spiritual needs during our time there. 100% of Portion for Orphans funds go
directly towards the needs of the orphans. They do not help cover the cost
of these trips. If you would like to help cover trip costs, please let me know.
GREAT NEWS!!! We are making much progress towards becoming a registered tax-exempt
501(c)3 organization! Many people are helping in various ways and showing lots
of enthusiasm and support. Praise God! Please pray with us that He will enable
the process to continue moving smoothly and quickly.
Thanks to all of you for the encouragement and support as we strive to increase
awareness of and to help meet various needs of orphans around the world. Please
forward this email on to others who might be interested.
On behalf of orphans around the world,
Sally Allred Lockett
